INTEGRATING PERFORMANCE SKILLS: VOICE/MOVEMENT, DANCE AND ACTING

Session I.    Integrative links across trainings: alignment, breath management, range, resonance, articulation and connection; General concepts of anatomy and physiology

Session II.   Voice/movement research, moving and sounding simultaneously; Anatomy of the whole body, contextualized for relevancy to both dance and voice techniques

Session III.  Speech/dialects/phrasing across genres; Basic dance techniques

Session IV.  Daily work from an integrative perspective; Performance coaching of individual material

Please wear clothing that allows you to move easily, e.g., workout attire.

Joan Melton, PhD, ADVS, is a pioneer in the integration of singing techniques and voice/movement training for the actor. The author of two major textbooks, she has been a performer, composer, voice coach and/or music director on productions in virtually all media. 

Jennie Morton, BSc (Hons) Osteopathy, is a former ballet dancer and musical theatre performer who is now an Osteopath specializing in the treatment of performers. She is an international lecturer and author in the field of Performing Arts Medicine.
