Session I. Integrative links for the multidimensional performer: alignment, breath management, range, resonance, articulation and connection. Attention to individual concerns.
Session II. Extended voice techniques for actors and singers, and phrasing across performance genres. Daily work from an integrative perspective, and coaching of individual material

Joan Melton is a pioneer in the integration of singing techniques and voice/movement for the actor. She trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama, London, holds three degrees in music, and has worked as a performer, composer, voice coach and/or music director on productions in virtually all media. Joan has taught at leading centers of drama and music in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, and NZ, is co-founder of One Voice Centre for Integrative Studies, and currently heads major research projects in the US and Australia. She is the author of three groundbreaking textbooks: Dancing with Voice: A Collaborative Journey across Disciplines (2015), One Voice: Integrating Singing and Theatre Voice Techniques, 2nd ed. (2012), and Singing in Musical Theatre: The Training of Singers and Actors (2007).
