Session I. Integrative links for the multidimensional performer: alignment, breath management, range, resonance, articulation and connection
Session II. Voice/movement research, specific differences from sports training, and practical applications for performers in opera and musical theatre
Session III. Extended voice techniques for actors and singers, and phrasing across performance genres
Session IV. Daily work from an integrative perspective, and performance coaching of individual material

Joan Melton, PhD, ADVS, is a pioneer in the integration of singing techniques and voice/movement for the actor. She trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama, London, holds three degrees in music, and has worked as a performer, composer, voice coach and/or music director on productions in virtually all media. Joan has taught at leading centers of drama and music in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, and NZ, is co-founder of One Voice Centre for Integrative Studies, and currently heads major research projects in the US and Australia.
